  PART SIX - PUERTO MOGAN & THE YELLOW  BOAT TRIP. Today we'd booked a trip on the yellow boat from Puerto Mogan. It's rated as the top thing to do on trip advisor - we were to find out that it was well deserved! Puerto Mogan is also known as little Venice, because  of the many little 'canals'. This is one of the many flowery back streets. This is the harbour/marina. No cars are allowed on the front - this makes it even more attractive for a relaxing walk and a coffee, cocktail or meal. We never expected to see a bandstand, but this lovely little centre attraction looks perfect! Unfortunately, we've never seen it used for anything. Gran Canaria 2024, based in Amadores, part five.

ROQUE NUBLO. As we had a hire car for a few days, we were keen to drive the interior roads to re-visit Roque Nublo, the site where it's thought magma erupted to form the whole island. On a clear day, the views here are astounding! When we arrived, however, the cloud was down low, the car park was full to bursting, and it was cold! 😨😨 Unused to this, we were wondering what to do. I decided these things could change in a flash, so we found somewhere to park, and set off on the path up to the Roque. Within ten minutes, conditions improved immensely, and from then on, it was just great! The slopes are tree-covered at first, with glimpses through to huge vistas of this volcanic land. This rock is known as 'The Bishop', and stands to the  left of the path up. About three quarters of the way up is this signpost, but our way was only one way - up! Looking back and now down to 'The Bishop'. Very soon, the trees disappeared, and vegetation became sparse in this harsh enviro...
